Do you have a book to recommend ?

booksDo you like reading?

Why did the acronym ALS sounded so familiar during the start of the ALS ice bucket challenge novelty? It was then i realised that i came across acronym in a book , Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Personally for me, there were many great insights that i derived from the book (not forgetting the amount of water i wasted, shedding tears while i was reading it). ” Among which, “Everyone knows they’re going to die, but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently.” and “Don’t cling to things, because everything is impermanent… But detachment doesn’t mean you don’t let the experience penetrate you.” are my favourite.

My all time favourite book, one that i regard to as my ‘bible’, is a book written by Stephen R. Covey – The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People [Goodreads Review]. In it, it talk about “laws” that we can follow, as well as theories that we can adopt in helping us navigate through the vicissitude of life.
I have heavily advocated this book to my friends at the leadership program … and practically everyone i know and would now like to take this chance to recommend this book to you (:

Lastly, i wouldn’t classify myself as a book fanatic, but i would love (and i believe other readers would appreciate as well) if  you could share your favourite book as well as why you like it – A book which you hold dear or one which even changed your life or one that gave you insights.
